I feel that children these days are focused on school, friends, sports, family and who the cute guy is sitting behind them. They have so much energy and passion it’s truly amazing! Childen are not afraid to confront people, and they usually don’t care about silly things adults do these days. How can we help them discover their passions? How can we help them make their mark in the world?
Katie Zeppieri has created a platform for kids to put all their positive energy into. The mission of ” Make Your Mark” is to spread kindness and to develop and inspire young leaders of great character and also to explore their talents, find their passions and feel empowered to make their mark in their schools, community and the world.
I love to see young passionate entrepreneurs making a difference in this world! #bethechange
On Feb 20th 2017, I experienced Katie’s passion for all her amazing projects to do with empowering youth. She had myself and a friend hand out cake pops to the kids, sing karaokee, and take photos. She also had magicians, face painters and violinists playing in hope to also help raise money for Sick Kids. Everything was an absolute blast and the smiles that we saw from the kids were priceless! At the end of the day, each of us must ask our self “how are we making our mark?”.
October – Being the first Monday of a new month brings me to express that we have three months left of 2016! And boy oh boy these next few months are going to fly by! Analyze what steps you can take to make sure you reach all your goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. Consistently ask yourself “what is my next move”?. You are in control of your growth and if you don’t have a clear direction or stay on top of what you want out of life then you will stand still in a moving, thriving world. Make personal growth a priority.
What do we share in common? Amongst many things, each of us has the chance to start our week off seeking all possibility with a positive spin on whatever may come our way! Don’t start your day off wishing this Monday was over.
Today is still a beautiful day that each of us should be thankful for. Set positive intentions for this following week ahead and seek gratitude for all of the wonderful things we take for granted.
… With a change of perspective, you can make this day fantastic!
Over the years of travelling back and fourth, around and across as I am rounding off another year in my twenties, I can honestly say I have truly discovered personal happiness no matter where I am in the world. Something so simple to say yet I feel as if many are on that quest at different points in their lives. Self love and appreciation is one of the most important things in the world, it reminds you what you deserve out of life, who you deserve to spend your time with, and motivates you to follow your intuition and dreams.
You are not where you came from, and not who people say your “supposed” to be. You can do anything you want in life, if you believe in yourself and trust you are doing things for the right reasons. One thing I can say is to find the best version of yourself you must be true to who you are as a person, practice forgiveness, follow your bliss, and ACCEPT YOUR PAST.
What ever may have happened, what you may have done, or what has happened to you, you must accept it in order to move forward. Many of us can get mentally stuck in our previous habits and time periods of life, which doesn’t simply allow us to move forward. Each one of us has the power to change, mentally and physically but you must want that change and believe you are capable of doing so. And let me tell you that if you can’t accept your flaws and previous mistakes they will carry forward in your life, and you will be dragging around an invisible suitcase full of doubt, trust issues, and self pity. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, a field in Africa, a private yacht in Croatia or a plane heading to your next escape… if you aren’t happy with who you are as a person, you will never seek the full happiness that life has to offer.
The downfall of social media, is the front everyone puts forward as to what they’re live is like, which subconsciously makes many people compare themselves to the over edited photos posted online. The only person you should strive to be better, is the person you were yesterday. Focus on YOU, your life and your emotions and in time you will find happiness in the smallest things.
